Day 15 Packaged and returned FFR Optional Brakes that wouldn't work. FFR is going to refund my money. Reinstalled the old Rear Caliper Brackets, painted the calipers, had my rotors turned ( No Charge at O’Reilly’s), added the tie rod ends to the rack, can’t finish waiting on a spacer from FFR. Reinstalled old axles. Fixed my shock problem by moving the retainer ring to the top position. Bought new rear brake pads. 5 hrs
Day 16 July 20 Page 134 Installed rear brake rotor, reinstalled my old calipers and new brake pads. Installed the steering column, joints and steering rods to connect to rack & pinion. Added the brake pedal assembly (First had to remove Clutch pedal that was included) to the dash and both master cylinders. Had help all day from Todd and Jason 12 hrs (61 hrs thus far)
Day 17 July 23 Page 139 Mounted Brake Reservoir on Firewall and ran lines to the Master Cylinders. Bent and installed brake lines for front and rear brakes. Searched for missing parts in inventory (4 hrs)
Day 18 July 26 No page advancement. NOTE - I’ve emptied 9 boxes. Worked on Inventory after missing a few more parts. Hard to find some of the special parts because have no idea what they are and can’t say I have them. Sent my MIK order in to FFR and they told me they had already sent the parts – Funny I just ordered them. Then he tells me they have two Charles Smith’s. That seems impossible that two with the same name missing the same parts on the same build. They are sending my MIK parts. I always give my Order number. (2 hrs)
Day 19 July 28 Page 141 Moved Brake Reservoir. Didn’t like the location I had chosen – no instructions on where to place it. Finished running brake lines on drivers side and connected calipers with braided hose. Run lines to passenger side next. Then onto the back. (3 hrs)
Day 20 July 29 Page 145 Finished the Front brake lines. Started on back. Need hoses and brackets to connect calipers. Doner Mustang lines are too short. (2 hrs)
