Day 31 Aug 17 Moved the truck outside and installed engine and transmission. Took awhile to get the trans mated to engine. Bolt search again. Not all bolts came with the engine when I bought it. 3 of us working on it. Todd and Jason helping. Alex did put in a couple of rivets. Did "a walk around" with a friend explaining what we were doing. Started on the radiator and grill only to find it doesn’t fit and had to cut some of the interior frame that didn’t line up with the radiator. No Rivet-Nuts were provided to use, one more thing to take care of that should have been in the kit. (10 hrs)
Day 32 Aug 18 Worked on mating the radiator to the grill. Found that FFR hadn’t included the Rivet Nut Tool nor rivets and bolts. After a couple of trips to the parts and tool supply was able to attach them. Seems unnecessary to have to drill holes and align the holes. Then mounted the fan. Lock nuts provided didn’t fit. Was going to mount the radiator, but after looking at the mount and location on the upper a arm, going to look at it again tomorrow. Headed to the fab shop tomorrow and try and get a transmission mount made. FFR doesn’t offer one for the C4 transmission. (3 hrs)
Day 33 Aug 19 Spent most of the day trying to get the right yoke for my driveshaft. FFR finally said they sent the wrong drive shaft and will be sending another one. Finished installing the radiator/grill/electric fan. Took dimensions for the new transmission mount to the fabricator. Had FFR send out the RivetNut tool and rivet nuts that were left out of the kit. (2 hrs)
Day 34 Aug 21 Pg 219 Installed radiator flexible hose, upper radiator hose, overflow hose and mounted the overflow tank. (3 hrs)
Day 35 Aug 22 Chasing parts and ordering parts. Received the Riv-Nut Tool from FFR. It was a Coil-over adjustment tool they say could set the Riv-Nuts – No Instructions (2 hrs)
