
Day 61 Oct 26 Installed thermostat and housing. Worked on the intake, with plugs and vacuum connectors we need. Added the FiTech Fuel Pressure gauge. 2 hrs
Day 62 Nov 2 Worked on wires connecting the (3) harnesses. Shortened the throttle cable, new alternator brackets don’t work had to order new ones. Found my new intake has more damage than the bent horn. Part of the top casting that supports the injectors was broken. Still waiting on my replacement. My son Todd continues to figure out the wiring – it’s all a maze to me. 6 hrs
Day 63 Nov 7 Mocked up the bed using the old beverage crates. Had to cut them apart. Looks like it’s going to work, Need a few more pieces. Finished the alternator installed and got a refund on the billet brackets I bought that didn’t fit. Had to order a longer fan belt. Painted and installed the door hinge supports, picked up a new thermostat housing with the temp sensor opening. 3 hrs
Day 64 Nov 16 Been messing with different things the past week. Had to pack and send back my intake – part of it was broken that we didn’t discover until we started the install. Worked more on the coke crate bed. Coming along. Started the BudLight Shifter project, may or may not work, still trying to figure it out. Started drilling the door hinges and tapping them. Broke the tap on the fourth hole. Had a friend work on the valves on the head that was damaged 7 hrs
Day 65-66 Nov 27 - Dec 1 Continued to tie in the wiring harnesses – seems to be complete, waiting on the replacement intake to get it started. Took the hinges to a fab shop to counter zink the holes and cutoff the hinges. Moved the gas filler to under the chassis to allow for the new bed frame. 3 hrs
