Day 36 Aug 23 Spent the morning trying to get a new driveshaft for FFR after returning the wrong one they sent. Received my headers, braided transmission lines and fittings. (2 hrs)
Day 37 Aug 24 Tried to install the starter. Bolts would work had to order new ones and a starter relay. (2 hrs)
Day 38 Aug 25 Added the oil cooler. Difficulty trying to locate a spot. Added the transmission braided lines. Put the oil filter on FL300 Shorty. (2 hrs)
Day 39 Aug 26 Ran the lines for the transmissions cooler. Installed the starter. Started adding the headers and found they don’t fit – started a return and placed a new order from LMR for their headers. (3 hrs)
Day 40 Aug 30 Drove 4 hrs to pick up wooden bottle carriers for the bed floor – wasted time, poor seller. Was able to use 3 of the 5, promised 7 crates. New headers and shifter arrived (4 hrs)
Day 41 Aug 31 Drove another 3 hrs to pick up more crates – excellent seller – as promised and discounted price. Installed my new transmission mount I had fabricated – fits perfect. Only two carriage bolts provided - takes 4, two auto parts and Rural King later, I found the bolts I could use. Waiting on my driveshaft from FFR after they sent the wrong one initially (taken 2 weeks after they received my return) (5 hrs)
Day 42 Sep 1 Installed the headers, exhaust and shifter. (10 hrs)
Day 43 Sep 2 Raised the transmission with provided spacers and tried to install new driveshaft – rearend adapter doesn’t fit. Finished the shifter. Started on the wiring – all laid out – rear plugged in (2) hrs)
Day 44 Sep 4 Page 231 Installed the radiator drain plug (Not supplied by FFR) . Re routed the rear harness, positive battery cable and the transmission oil cooler lines. Tied up all of the wires in the rear. (4 hrs)
Day 45 Sep 9 Page 234 Picked up driveshaft from machine shop, installed the correct flange. Worked on Front Wiring Harness, added and extra wire to the headlights to use as driving lights ( Not Provided) 3 hrs
